Go to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.” This story chronicles the buffoonish pipe dream of a long-time mayor who spent $8 million of the city’s funds attempting to build an Old West Museum in our state’s capital. Mr. Corkery’s article followed an earlier piece in the same newspaper describing Harrisburg’s ill-fated incinerator project. Now it appears that leadership has failed the city once again, allowing revenues in the millions to go uncollected for waste management services. How much longer will Harrisburg put itself in the hands of incompetent leaders? If Dan Miller is not elected mayor, it will be yet another betrayal of a once great city."
